Merced "El Prieto" Abrego, 87, entered into eternal rest, Monday, January 6, 2020. Mr. Abrego is preceded in death by his parents; Gregorio Abrego and Antonia M. Abrego.

He is survived by his children; Sergio (Araceli) Contreras, Idalia Abrego viuda De Gonzalez, Mayra Abrego, Jose Alfredo Abrego, Marissa (Ismael) Elizondo and Luis Carlos Abrego; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and brothers; Trinidad Abrego and Lazaro Abrego; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a chapel service will be held in the evening. Cremation services will be held at a later date.
