Nicolas Elizalde Jr, age 72, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at ManorCare Health Services. He was born on July 8, 1939 in Laredo, TX, the son of Nicolas and Lorenza (Salinas) Elizalde Sr. Nick was formerly married to Ruth (King) Elizalde. He worked at Friday Canning Company in Oakfield for over thirty-seven years as a forklift operator. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to watch softball games at Lakeside Park. Nick also loved going to antique car shows. He was preceded in death by his parents, one half-brother, Juan Flores and one half-sister, Beatris Flores. Mr. Elizalde is survived by his three children, Lisa (Bruce) Abrahamzon of Fond du Lac, Carol (Dan) Sabel of Fond du Lac, Roberto Elizalde of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, April Richter (Friend Mike Herrmann), Susan (Tony) Mand, Lucas (Sara) Sabel, Brandon Abrahamzon, Matt Abrahamzon, four great-grandchildren, Ella, Jayda, Ava, and Alex, sister, Eliza (Humberto) Guerrero of TX, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, January 01, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 02, 2012 from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Holy mass will commence at 8:30 am. Interment will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St.
