Obituary For Nicolas Sauceda
Nicolas “Nico” Sauceda, 87, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008. Mr. Sauceda a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Nico was a life long fire fighter who retired after 36 years of service to the Laredo Fire Department. He was politically involved in the Laredo community. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years of marriage, Lucinda Q. Sauceda and his brother; Roberto Sauceda. Mr. Sauceda is survived by his daughters; Magdalena (+Roberto) Baez, Rosalinda (Antonio) Moncivais and his only son; Jaime (Maria Luisa) Sauceda, 9 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 4 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Honor Guard will be provided by the Laredo Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
