Obituary For Norma Guadalupe Garcia

Norma Guadalupe Garcia, 68, passed away at home surrounded by her loving husband and family on Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Mrs. Garcia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to tend to her family and friends and also enjoyed her favorite pastime playing bingo with her friends at the Gambit. Mrs. Garcia was a woman of strong faith and will. She is now rejoicing at home with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents; Isidro Menchaca and Maria Gonzalez, son; Humberto Garcia and son-in-law; Gerardo Cervantes. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years of marriage; Jose Cruz Garcia, Sr., beloved children; Lupita (+Gerardo) Cervantes, Anabel (Carlos) Sanchez, Maria (Oscar) Martinez, Jose (Mati) Garcia, Norma (Carlos) Rodriguez, Sonia Garcia, Bernardo (Melissa) Garcia and Anna Perez, grandchildren; Nana Cervantes, Gerardo (Krystal) Cervantes, Carlos (Jamila) Sanchez, Jr., Jimmy Sanchez, Melissa Martinez, Maritza Martinez, Michelle Martinez, Magoo (Rocio) Garcia, Wicho Garcia, Juan Garcia, Nando Garcia, Amanda Garcia, David (Perla) Rodriguez, Joe Rodriguez, Jaime Rodriguez, Christina Rodriguez, Jesse Rodriguez, Jayden Garcia, Pookie Perez and Nono Perez, great-grandchildren; Chris, Mateo, Robert and Emily, numerous brothers, nieces, nephews, Gambit Bingo friends and other relatives. Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2008 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Church. Holy mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.

    Norma, even though you've gone to a better place you will always remain in our hearts and thoughts. I guess God wanted another angel to help him with Beton and He took the best one.
