Oscar J. "Bimbo" Garza

August 8, 1957 - August 6, 2021

Oscar Javier "Bimbo" Garza peacefully entered into eternal rest the morning of August 6, 2021 after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Bimbo took pride in his job working for Stripes for more than 10 years. He was an avid drummer who played with various bands in the 70's & 80's including RAGZZ, Bits & Pieces and Bad News.

Bimbo is preceded in death by his parents; Julian Garza, Sr., and Rosa Garza, siblings; Maria Reyna, Celestino, Pedro, Eddie and Julian "El Pollo" Garza, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Elizabeth Diaz Garza, children; Maura Alarcon, Isaac Garza and Eric Garza all from Brownsville, TX, stepson; David A. Diaz, siblings; Norma (Tirso) Martinez, Rogelio (Sylvia) Garza, Jose Luis (Esther) Garza and Fabian (Patty) Garza; 12 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 9:30 am at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church.
