Petra Cruz, 73, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 9, 2015.

Mrs. Cruz is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Cruz and her daughter, Maricruz O. Galindo who passed on August 9, 2015. She is survived by her; son, Juan G. (Maria Villa) Cruz; grandchildren, Rogelio (Esmeralda) Rodriguez, Cristina Chavarria and Natalia Chavarria; great-grandchildren, Rudy Mancias, Travis Faz, Bethany Rodriguez, Sebastian Rodriguez, Yuram Rodriguez, Sofia Rodriguez, Alexandra Rodriguez, Ruby Rodriguez, Isacc Rodriguez; sisters, Delia (Fabian) Garcia, Alicia (Javier) Garcia; son-in-law, Gerardo Galindo; as well as other family members and friends. Family wishes to extend special thanks to Laredo Specialty Hospital and Staff.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am. Interment will follow immediately in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
