Rafael Carranza, 94, entered into eternal rest, Monday, December 7, 2020. Mr. Carranza is preceded in death by his parents; Simon Carranza and Paula Carranza, sisters; Guadalupe Carranza and Amelia Losoya

He is survived by his wife; Cristina Carranza, children; Yazmin (Eduardo Villarreal) Carranza, Arcadio Carranza, Rafael (Edna) Carranza, Israel (Maribel) Carranza, and Tano (Sarai) Carranza, grandchildren; Gabriela Carranza, Yulissa Leal, Estefania Villarreal, Paola Carranza, Yosselin Carranza, Leyla Carranza, Christian Carranza, Issac Carranza, Caleb Carranza, Jared Carranza, Camila Carranza, Gaby Morales, and Jose Luis Gomez, III., and great grandchildren; Mireya Carranza, Luisito Gomez, IV., and Jimena Gomez; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 14, 2020 at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory. A chapel service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery. Due to the COVID pandemic, limited capacity and for the safety of all, the family requests for you to express your condolences on our website to allow the immediate family to attend services.
