Raul Natividad Medina, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at his home in Von Ormy, Texas. Mr. Medina was born and raised in Laredo until he was referred by his employer to San Antonio. He retired from HB Zachary Construction Company in San Antonio after 30 years of service. During that time he traveled through out the state and spent 8 months in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Medina was preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Dolores Flores Medina, his brothers and sister: Esteban, Oscar, Pablo Medina and Aurora Bustamante, grandson: Jorge Liendo and son-in-law: Horacio Solis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Alicia Prado Medina, his children: Maria Magdalena “Mimi” (Horacio+) Solis of San Antonio, Raul (Martha) Medina, Jr. of Uvalde, Salomon “Sonny” (Karen) Medina of Orlando, Florida, Mary Lou (Frank) Olivo of Dallas, Elsa (Gustavo) Rodriguez of Laredo and Elia Prado of Laredo, 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters: Margarita (Jose) Rodriguez and Socorro Ayala, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is also survived by his beloved dog Pepe. Mr. Medina touched so many lives and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him but his memory will forever be etched in their hearts. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 4pm to 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
