Raul R. Martinez, 64, entered into eternal rest, Thursday, June 8, 2023.

Raul had a long and distinguished career, he worked for the Houston Fire Department for over 25 years, Metro Police Department in Houston for 10 years, he was also the Police Chief in Baytown, Texas for 5 years, as well as Chief in Sealy, Texas from 2006-2014. He worked for the FBI for 5 years. He was lifetime member of the Houston Rodeo Committee, he also proudly served his community by mentoring the youth.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years Maria Guadalupe Martinez; father, Raul R. Martinez; and brother Gerardo E. Martinez.

Raul is survived by his mother, Maria Del Rosario Martinez; sisters, brothers, as well as numerous other family and friends.

The Martinez family will be receiving guests on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will continue on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations where a chapel service will be officiated at 9:30 am by Father Hector Flores. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
