Obituary For Ricardo Guerrero
Ricardo Guerrero, 72, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 after battling a short fight with cancer. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Cecilia Guerrero. He is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Air Force (1964-1968). After his retirement with the Air Force, he was employed at the Old Albertsons’ Store, City of Laredo, Laredo Job Corps (25 yrs), and at his old Alma Mater, Martin High School as a substitute teacher. Mr. Guerrero enjoyed coaching with the Rio Grande Little League, as well as playing with local baseball leagues and Sunday Morning Leagues. He was a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, from 5 pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 8, 2014, from the funeral home to San Francisco Javier where the Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ricardo Guerrero Jr., Hector Palos, Keno, Joe Sanchez, Joey Izaguirre, Victor Valero His family would like to Thank Dr. Preston F. Foster, Surgical Director at the Liver Transplant Program, and his excellent staff at the Texas Transplant Institute and Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital of San Antonio, Texas. Thank you to Ms. Gloria Turner at the Laredo VA Clinic, Rosa Ramirez-Delgado and all of our families, friends, and neighbors for all their moral support.
