Obituary For Roberto Sauceda

Roberto “El Trompo” Sauceda, Sr., 79, passed away Friday, January 12, 2007. Mr. Sauceda was born on Wednesday, January 19, 1927 at La Copital, Duval Co., Texas. He was also known as “El Trompo”. Mr. Sauceda was preceded in death by his parents: Atanacio Sauceda and Narcisa Morales, wife: Angelina Dominguez Sauceda, brothers and sisters: Victor (Andrea) Sauceda, Sr., Ancieto (Cleotilde) Sauceda, Sabas (Clara & Guadalupe) Sauceda, Eusebio Sauceda, Emilio Sauceda and Maria Medina, granddaughter: Lizette Hinojosa. Surviving him are his children: Thelma (Gerardo) Garcia, Roberto (Elvia) Sauceda, Jr., Ricardo (Maria Luisa) Sauceda, Leticia (Dario, Jr.) Gutierrez, Rene Sauceda, Ruben (Leticia) Sauceda, Diana (Raul) Hinojosa, Vilma (Mario, Sr.) Suarez and Roel (Monica) Sauceda, brother: Nicolas Sauceda, 22 grandchildren: Gerardo (Clarrisa) Garcia, Jessica (David) Garza, Gabriel (Leslie) Garcia, Aravelia (Ignacio) Rodriguez, Vennesa Sauceda, Roberto Bernardo Sauceda, Emilio Sauceda, Alex Sauceda, Ricardo (Elia) Sauceda, Jr., Roland Sauceda, Dario(Genoveva) Gutierrez, III, Monica (Juan) Ortiz, Ruben Sauceda, Kimberly Sauceda, Jeannette Hinojosa, Prisicalla Suarez, Mario ( Sandra) Suarez, Carlos Suarez, Jesse James Suarez, Angelina Sauceda, Isa Sauceda and Roel Sauceda, Jr., 14 great-grandchildren: Genaro & Norberto Garcia, Ashley Pena, Victoria & Karissa Garcia, Ignacio Rodriguez, IV, Kares Sauceda, Krystle & Brandy Sauceda, Alexandra & Angelina Ortiz, Melinda Sanchez, Kassandra & Briana Suarez. Visitation will be Monday, January 15, 2007 from 4pm – 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral home, 802 Coke St.
