Rosa Maria Ramirez, 74, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents Domingo Gonzalez and Eufrosina Lemus, and aunt/mother figure Eloisa Lemus.

Rosa was always selfless and loving, and always cared for others. First as a nurse in her younger years at La Cruz Roja and Hospital Civil in Nuevo Laredo, then as a wife, mother, grandmother, and later as the primary caregiver for her aunt Eloisa.

Rosita, as she was affectionately known in her parish of San Vicente de Paul, was a devout Catholic. She dedicated over 25 years of her life serving her beloved parish and was an active member of her church. Rosita was a member of the Adoración Nocturna, Damas Católicas, la Sociedad del Altar, Eucharistic minister, and most importantly her beloved Coro Santa Monica.

Rosa is survived by her husband of 48 years, Hector Ramirez; children, Hector (Laura) Ramirez Jr., Erika (Christopher) Vaello, and Jessica (Ricardo) Ramirez; grandchildren, Erika Daniela Ramirez, Jorge Ramirez, Mia Ramirez, Myleen Ramirez, Destiny Alyssa Vaello, Christopher Vaello, Aubrey Vaello, Ricardo Ramirez III, Alehtzy Ramirez, Mila Ramirez; great-granddaughter, Maddison Jae Perez; as well as numerous other family and friends who will greatly miss her.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church. The funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
