Ruperto Tavarez, 91, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at a local hospital. Mr. Tavarez is survived by his wife; Noelia Ochoa Tavarez, numerous children and other relatives. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5pm to 9pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with prayer service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory chapel. Chapel service will be officiated at 10am. Interment will follow to the City Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 and Flag Detail by Army of the United States. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory, 802 Coke St.
