Obituary For Santiago Gonzalez

On Monday, November 26, 2007, our beloved uncle, Santiago Gonzalez, 93, went home to be with his wife, Carmen B. Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez was a WWII veteran and served his country and battled in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal and was qualified rifle marksman. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his nieces and nephew: Priciliana Bernal, Irene Martinez and Roberto Martinez, Jr. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2007 from 4pm to 9pm at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 and the San Antonio Army Flag Detail. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nieto-Dickey Funeral Home, 802 Coke St.
