Obituary For Socorro Herlinda Mendoza

Socorro Herlinda Mendoza, 79, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023.

Mrs. Mendoza is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe Neri Sierra and Maria Del Carmen Salaz; her children, Jose Ernesto Salazar, Jr., Sonia Imelda Ramirez and Alberto Salazar; her brother, Felipe Neri Sierra.

She is survived by her children, Felipe Salazar, Rolando (Araceli) Salazar, Sr. and Cecilia (Luis) Castillo; her siblings; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Nieto Funerals & Cremations from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will start at 7:00 pm. Father Jerry Gutierrez will officiate. Visitation will follow on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at SouthWest Funeral Home located at 3946 S Zarzamora St, San Antonio, TX 78225 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Meadowlawn Memorial Park, 5611 E. Houston St. San Antonio, Texas 78220, (210) 661-3991. Deacon Juan Jose Delgado with St. Patrick Catholic Church will conduct the committal service at 12:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Rolando Salazar, Sr., Jose Ernesto Salazar, Luis Salazar, Sr., Ruben Ugalde, Marco Salazar and Albert Joe Cardenas. Honorary pallbearers will be Rolando Salazar Sr. and Luis Castillo.

    socorro herlinda mendoza was my great grandmother grandma if you ever see this up there just know im crying while writing this i love and miss you so much i remeber when you forgot me my name you didnt remember since that day i knew that you didnt have much time. I realize now that i should have told some one maybe it would have helped no one should have there family go to their grave for their own birthday i love you so much.i miss you plese come back ive tried to go up there with you i didnt work soon we will live in peace together as a family.-mireyah carrasco

    De las tantas memorias que tengo, siento que perdi muchas mas. De la sonrisa contajiosa, y el sentido del humor que nos envolvia en risa y alegria, al cariño y amor inquebrantable por la familia, son entre lo mas resonante. Las canciones los chistes.... quisiera aver tenido mas de eso.
