Vicenta Almendarez, 92, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Ms. Almendarez is preceded in death by her daughter, Argentina M. Palacios; brothers, Roman Almendarez and Fernando Almendarez; sisters, Consuelo Chapa, Manuela Almendarez and Feliz Almendarez. She survived by her daughter, Yolanda (Mario) Sanchez, brother, Antonio (Antonia) Almendarez, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other family members and friends. Visitation was held Wednesday, June 26, 2014, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary recited at 6:00 pm. Funeral services were held Friday, June 27, 2014, from Nieto Funeral Home & Crematory to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment followed to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
