Victoria E. Herrera, 102, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2012, in Laredo, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband: Onesimo G. Herrera and her daughter: Irma Herrera Orta. Mrs. Herrera is survived by her children: Javier (Rosemary) Herrera and Onesimo (Otila P.) Herrera Jr., son-in-law: Jose L. Orta, grandchildren: Terry O. Perdue, Gus Orta, Mark A. Orta, Veronica Orta, Michael A. Orta, Michelle O. Beard, Angelica Maria Alvarez, Adriana Peña, Eduardo Herrera, Gabriel Ricardo Herrera, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandsons, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation for Mrs. Herrera was held at Nieto Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 5pm-9pm. A holy rosary was recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from the funeral home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Gabriel Ricardo Herrera, Eduardo Herrera, Javier Peña, Gus Orta, Mark Orta, Michael Orta, Gabriel Onesimo Herrera and Ernie Perdue.
